Elias was born in 1953 in Galilee, Israel.

Like most children in his town, Elias grew up with a passion for football. As he grew older he found he had a certain way with the game and soon became a very good player. In his early 20’s, Elias was recruited to play for a local club in Ma’a lot-Tarshiha. There, Elias got his first real taste of club soccer.

In 1973, Elias was a victim in a horrible car accident where he needed treatment that led him to his uncle Badeikhoury’s care in the United States. His uncle helped rehabilitate Elias and trained with him bringing him back to full strength. His uncle was also pivotal in guiding him to College of Dupage in Illinois where he tried out for the soccer team and soon became a starter. His time in Dupage quickly became gold as he lead a losing team to a victorious squad where he won an All-American, All-State, and Midwest Player awards in the 2 years he attended. He also led the nation in goals scored.

At Sangamon State University, Elias helped develop a program at a school that had none and ended up being a key player in a NAIA team. Elias boasts about his memorable game against Alabama A&M which carried national team players from Nigeria & Ghana. In this game, Elias scored 2 goals and assisted 2 more in ten minutes forcing head coach Yousef Ibrahim to eat his words and shave his mustache!

As a coach, Elias has been very giving in his time for youth soccer coaching club teams and high school teams alike. Edison High School, Newport Harbor High School and ODB Football Club are just a few organizations that Elias has led to titles and victories.

In 1988, Sportpage Soccer Warehouse was organized but was in a small shop located at the intersection of Hamilton and Brookhurst in Huntington Beach, CA. As the need to expand became more evident, Elias moved to a new location on Euclid, in Fountain Valley. This location still proved to be very small and limiting and so the store moved across the street to where it is today. In 23 plus years, Elias has developed a relationship with players, coaches, fans alike. He has serviced young stars such as the Ozzie, Bocanegra and Donovan families that grew up coming to his store and today is the hotspot to get everything to play, coach and support the beautiful game. The store is Elias’s home where he is still visited by superstars and influential sports members every week. If you’re lucky he may even introduce you to a star you didn’t even know was there, or maybe find one in you.
